Hardland/Heartland Sale

9 Aug

CakeIn15 has long been a fan of local artists collective Hardland / Heartland; their collaborative collages, performance pieces, sound installations and ‘zine and tape production have all captured some weirdly pulsing energy on the far side popular culture. After shifting collaborations and productions of late, HL / HL artist Eric Timothy Carlson is going to be pulling up stakes to NYC (damn you Brooklyn!) this fall and in anticipation of that, there was a brief press blast today announcing an HL / HL sale:

We — Hardland / Heartland (AA, ETC, CQ, etc.) — are having a book & print sale.

Books / Prints / T-Shirts / Tapes / & more
Come by to say hi — have a look at these books.
Likely the last opportunity to pick many of these works up in person.

@ the ALL + ETC Studio
512 E 24th St. Minneapolis, MN 55404
Sunday, August 14 · 11:00am – 5:00pm

August is also the last month to purchase anything from their THEREISAWE portfolio blog/store, although Carlson says that there are plans to re-open the online store as it’s own entity at some point in the future, but thuis coming sunday is your chance to get it in person. If you want more from the HL / HL crew, Carlson and Aaron Anderson will be screening a new work, PRRPLE RAIN, at the Trylon Microcinema on Thursday, August 18th. The new video work “looks to appropriate and re-position a now fundamental tale of the classic midwesterner’s struggle towards the American Dream,” so whatever that means, wear some purple velvet and maybe they’ll acid burn it for you.
