Be afraid… and then dance
4 Feb
By now many Minneapolitans have experienced that strange phenomenon that is Koo Koo Kanga Roo. The self-described “dance duo” sing-raps quirky songs that seem geared more toward the 5-10 age range than the 20-somethings that frequent their shows. It’s not all that hard to see why. Their music is easy to sing along to, there’s choreographed dance numbers, and members Bryan Atchison and Neil Olstad regularly talk to the crowd, keeping the focus on stage. Recently, Koo Koo Kanga Roo decided its fans should get to know them better. So they posted this interview on You Tube:
Koo Koo Kanga Roo’s next show is 9pm on Friday, February 6th at the Uptown Bar. Other local bands in the lineup include Dearling Physique, Hunting Club, and Prozac Rat.
